Jessica, long lost Romanian vampire princess, was adopted by American parents. Vampire prince comes searching for her. Really? Terrible book.
More Thoughts on the Book:
So, my mother bought this book for me as a joke. My family members found it hilarious that I read and enjoyed the Twilight series and assume that I must be a huge fan of ALL young adult vampire novels. Hence, this Christmas gift. The cover of this book actually says, "The undead can really screw up your senior year..." Really. That's what is written under the title of the book. I mean, it was already off to a great start.
I hate to admit that I actually picked up this book and read it in two days. We had a snow day, and I couldn't leave the house. (At least that's my excuse...) It was probably the worst book I have ever read. It was about a girl who was adopted by American parents who renamed her Jessica. Her Romanian name was Anastasia, and she is referred to as both names throughout the book. Jessica/Anastasia is currently a senior in high school when this foreign exchange student shows up who seems to be quite dangerous. Jessica learns from her mother that she betrothed to this man and must marry him otherwise war will break out between two clans of vampires in Romania. That's all I am going to say. It seems to be written by a middle school student. It was just like every other vampire pop novel you see around. I honestly feel less intelligent after reading this book.
